Catch the Bait / Business Scam Desk

Pilot preparation · Discovery calls open

Give your staff
someone to ask.

A suspicious invoice lands in the office. A login warning looks urgent. A text seems to come from the owner. Your staff need a familiar way to stop and check.

How the proposed desk would work

A message becomes
a practical next step.

01

Send the message

Use the agreed email or text route with a short description. Redact sensitive details. Nothing is monitored automatically.

02

Get a bounded assessment

Dominic reviews the material you supplied and explains the next step. Missing context may mean there is not enough evidence.

03

Use your own verified contacts

For money or account access, confirm through an independently established route and use the right approver.

04

Keep the useful record

Receive a monthly summary of delivered work and open actions.

Pilot prices to discuss

A clear scope.
A monthly relationship.

Business Core

$149/month

Up to 15 staff

4 cases or 40 review minutes per organization per month, whichever comes first. Follow-up counts toward the same case.

Monthly lesson and handout. Quarterly recorded refresher and authorized practice.

Onboarding: $350 once. Extra review needs a written agreement; no automatic overage charges.

Business Plus

$249/month

Up to 40 staff

8 cases or 80 review minutes per organization per month, whichever comes first. Follow-up counts toward the same case.

Core plus a live quarterly Zoom refresher and new-hire orientation by arrangement.

Onboarding: $350 once. Extra review needs a written agreement; no automatic overage charges.

All plans include the desk, your House Rules, an “it happened” response sheet, ongoing education and a monthly record. Case-review minutes are separate from the included education, setup and reports.

Enrollment is not open yet. The reply schedule and start date will be confirmed before service begins. Larger groups start with a limited participant rollout. These plans do not include unlimited calls or instant pickup.

Founding-client offer and cancellation

The first five base-plan clients in each track can be quoted $99/month for the first three billing months, with onboarding waived ($297 total for those months). Month four returns to $149/month Business Core. Plus upgrades are separately quoted.

The discount supports an initial feedback pilot. An honest review is optional, and permission to publish a name or testimonial is separate. Any published endorsement will disclose the discount.

Month-to-month. Cancel by email or phone before renewal to stop future charges. Access continues through the paid period. Full price, included usage, reply hours and cancellation terms will be provided before payment.

Optional extras

In-person sessions are by arrangement at $300 plus mileage quoted before booking. Optional executive/board Zoom: $150. Optional co-branded monthly client alert: $99/month. Laminated material is separately arranged. None is required to use the remote desk.

Written for your people

Rules they can
actually use.

During a 45-minute remote onboarding conversation, we would write your checking rules together and confirm the right response contacts.

Example House Rule

A request to change payment details needs a call to a contact already on file, then the required internal approval.

The sender’s urgency, signature, logo or familiar voice cannot replace those checks.

Education keeps
the habit familiar.

Short monthly lessons use situations staff actually face: a changed invoice, a fake sign-in page, a message from “the boss.” Scenario quizzes support discussion without shaming anyone. Real email drills require the client’s specific written approval.

Know the boundaries

The desk reviews what you submit. It does not monitor accounts, filter email, approve payments, recover money or provide technical incident response.

If your existing IT provider or another resource already covers the need, we should say so. Free scam guidance is also available through the AARP Fraud Watch Network Helpline.
